Perceptions arise by contacts through the senses. The information carried by the senses then processed by the brain to interpret the information into perceptions. Past experiences also might influence with the output (perceptions). Though, there are nothing wrong with perception A, B, or C which all perceptions might valid in certain contexts, but having (specific) perceptions make one to cling into (one or more) perceptions.
What if one has a different past experience that is resulting a different perception? Certainly, he/she will still cling to different perceptions. Thus, one is hard to free from perceptions.
Contact occurs all the time through the senses, and we cannot avoid contact unless we have no senses, which is impossible, otherwise you are already dead. Since we are left with no choices other than to have those contacts, how can we be free from perceptions?
The questions.
Do we need to (or want to) be free from having perceptions? What would happen if we are free from perceptions? How to achieve it (free from perceptions) in order to see things clearly as they are?
